The material is a heavier-weave fabric that is NOT heavy in weight. It's a lot like old-fashioned cotton shirts were back when I was growing up (and I'm 71 now!). Not thin and almost see through as is common today. It looks pretty much like what the website shows, but I included a picture to point out a few things:< The material (as I said, old-fashioned thick cotton) is strong enough to allow the collar to stand up on its own -- I like that,< The breast pocket is perfectly matched to the shirt pattern, such that unless you are looking for it, you wouldn't even know a pocket was there. Again, I like that!< The shirt (an XL) fits as I expected: chest, length and sleeve length are right where you'd expect. (Just for reference, I have a 47.5 chest, a 26 sleeve, a 40 waist, and a 17.5 neck). The shirt fits nicely in the belly area, not showing the bulge of my belly, and not gapping between buttons. And the vertical stripes really help to slim the looks of my figure.< The sleeves have the double vertical button style of old -- one on the cuff and one halfway up the cuff opening. Again, I like that!< The tails are long enough to tuck in for a dressed up look, but don't look sloppy if left untucked.< With it being 80 percent cotton, I expect it may shrink a little, and I also expect it to STILL fit, even if it does shrink.Overall, I'd say this shirt is a throwback to the quality of years gone by, and I appreciate that quality and attention to details. It's a business dress shirt that can also be worn casually -- can match equally well with dress pants and blue jeans! You can believe that I will be actively looking for more products from COSONSEN!
